About this page
Script Bible is a Bible reading and study app. This page lists the texts and datasets it displays, and how to send a correction.
Script Bible is independently built. Editorial pages (book guides, entity descriptions, and topics) are written and revised by the operator and may contain errors. They are not a substitute for academic commentaries. Corrections: Contact or hello@script.bible.
Bible texts
The World English Bible (WEB) is dedicated to the public domain under CC0. It is distributed by eBible.org and worldenglish.bible. Longer rights notes for the edition we display are on the WEB version page.
The King James Version (KJV) is in the public domain in many jurisdictions; Crown rights apply in the United Kingdom. Longer rights notes are on the KJV version page.
Cross-references
Cross-references in the reader combine two sources stored on each row: OpenBible.info and Scrollmapper. The set is ranked with the stored votes field from those datasets. Both projects are used as a cross-reference source.
Original language and Strong's
Lemma, transliteration, and definitions are derived from the MetaV dataset (theonize/KJV-bible-database-with-metadata), licensed CC BY-SA 3.0.
Hebrew (Westminster Leningrad Codex) and Greek (Nestle 1904) tokens, lemmas, and morphology are from the MACULA Hebrew and MACULA Greek Linguistic Datasets (Clear-Bible), licensed CC BY 4.0.

Editorial guides
Book overviews, topic pages, parallel-passage lists, and entity descriptions are written for Script Bible. They may mix textual summary with historical context. They are not peer-reviewed commentaries. Corrections: Contact.
Meaning search

What is not included
Christian writings and commentary collections are not part of the public site. Credits in the native iOS app, if any, are separate.
