Of Adoption.

1. All those that are justified, God vouchsafed, in, and for the sake of his only Son Jesus Christ, to make partakers of the Grace ²¹¹of Adoption; by which they are taken into the number, and enjoy the Liberties, and ²¹²Priveledges of Children of God; have his ²¹³name put upon them, ²¹⁴receive the Spirit of Adoption, ²¹⁵have access to the throne of Grace with boldness, are enabled to cry Abba, Father, are ²¹⁶pitied, ²¹⁷protected, ²¹⁸provided for, and ²¹⁹chastned by him, as by a Father; yet never ²²⁰cast off; but sealed ²²¹to the day of Redemption, and inherit the promises, ²²²as heirs, of everlasting Salvation.
