## Bible texts

Script Bible displays the World English Bible and the King James Version. Detailed rights and source notes are available on the [WEB version page](https://script.bible/versions/web) and [KJV version page](https://script.bible/versions/kjv).

## Study data

Cross-references combine OpenBible.info and Scrollmapper datasets. Original-language lemma, transliteration, definition, token, and morphology data comes from MetaV and the Clear-Bible MACULA Hebrew and Greek linguistic datasets. Place coordinates come from OpenBible.info, maps use OpenStreetMap tiles, and the homepage map outline comes from Natural Earth (public domain).

Hebrew verse-number mappings are adapted from [STEP Bible TVTMS](https://github.com/STEPBible/STEPBible-Data/tree/master/Versification), based on work at Tyndale House Cambridge, under [CC BY 4.0](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/). Script Bible adapts the mappings to its reader and handles split verses using MACULA word positions.

## Bible dictionaries

Word details include excerpts from Easton's Bible Dictionary (1897) and Smith's Bible Dictionary (1863), both in the public domain. The local text comes from the [Bible Dictionary Dataset by NEUU](https://github.com/neuu-org/bible-dictionary-dataset), whose parsed data is licensed [CC BY 4.0](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/). Entries are matched to attested English word forms. The source dataset limits some long entries to 5,000 characters; links on word pages lead to the full dictionary articles.

## Editorial scope

Book overviews, topic pages, parallel-passage lists, and entity descriptions are editorial work for Script Bible. They may contain errors and are not peer-reviewed commentaries. Send corrections through the [contact page](https://script.bible/contact).
