Who or what is this?
Zanoah was a town in the lowlands of , listed among the towns allotted to that tribe in the territorial distribution under (Joshua 15:34). After , it reappears in 's account of resettlement, where the inhabitants of Zanoah are recorded as returning to live there and as taking responsibility for repairing the Valley Gate and a section of 's wall (Nehemiah 3:13; 11:30). A second Zanoah in the hill country of Judah is also listed in Joshua 15:56. Beyond these allotment and resettlement notices, the town has no extended narrative in the Bible.
