Pihahiroth is the final encampment of the before crossing the sea during the Exodus. was commanded to turn and camp before Pihahiroth, between Migdol and the sea, near Baal-zephon (Exodus 14:2; Numbers 33:7–8). When and his army overtook them there, the Israelites were hemmed between the forces and the water, prompting their cry of fear. It was from this location that Moses stretched out his hand and the sea divided, allowing Israel to cross on dry ground while the Egyptian army was destroyed.
