Who or what is this?
Phrygia is a region occupying the central-western plateau of Minor (modern Turkey). It is mentioned in Acts 2:10 among the places represented by pilgrims in at , and passes through the Phrygian and region on both his second and third missionary journeys, strengthening the disciples (Acts 16:6; 18:23). The cities of , , and Hierapolis — addressed in Paul's letters — lay within the broader Phrygian territory, making the region significant for the spread of early Christianity into the interior of Asia Minor.
