was the name given to a Transjordanian town originally called Kenath after it was captured by a Manassite warrior named Nobah during the settlement east of the . Numbers 32:42 records simply that Nobah went and took Kenath and its villages and called it Nobah after his own name. Judges 8:11 also mentions Nobah in describing 's route during his pursuit of the kings Zebah and , placing it east of Jogbehah.
