What and where is this?
Libnah was a fortified city in the lowlands of , captured by during the conquest and assigned to the tribe of Judah; it was also later designated a Levitical city for the priests (Joshua 10:29–30; 21:13). It appears again in 2 Kings 8:22 when it successfully revolted from Judah's control during the reign of Jehoram. During 's invasion, the king was fighting against Libnah when messengers came reporting that Tirhakah king of was advancing against him (2 Kings 19:8). The name Libnah is also attached to one of the wilderness encampments during the Exodus, listed in Numbers 33.
