Jutah appears in Joshua 15:55 in the list of cities in the mountainous district of . Some manuscripts and the Septuagint reading of Luke 1:39 — 'a city of Judah' — have led some commentators to suggest that Jutah, rather than , may be the town in the hill country where and Zechariah lived, though this identification is uncertain. Beyond its appearance in the territorial list, Jutah has no narrative events attached to it in the Bible.
