town in Zebulun1 Bible book1 chapter1 verse appearance

What and where is this?

Japhia is mentioned in Joshua 19:12 as a point on the southern boundary of the tribe of Zebulun, the border turning from and going out toward Japhia. Beyond this single reference to a boundary marker in the division of the land, no narrative events are associated with Japhia the town. A person named Japhia also appears in Joshua 10:3 and in the genealogy of 's sons (2 Samuel 5:15), but those are distinct individuals and not related to this place.
