A stopping place in the wilderness of the Peninsula where the encamped after leaving Kibroth-hattaavah during the Exodus journey. Numbers 11–12 records that it was at Hazeroth that and spoke against because of his wife, and God struck Miriam with leprosy as a consequence; she remained outside the camp for seven days while Israel waited before journeying on to the wilderness of . The site is listed again in the encampment itinerary of Numbers 33 and referenced in Deuteronomy 1 as Moses reviews the journey.
