A hill in the wilderness of Ziph, south of , that appears twice as a location connected to the conflict between and Saul. In 1 23, Saul is told that David is hiding on the hill of Hachilah and goes in pursuit. In 1 Samuel 26, David returns to Hachilah and crosses into the camp at night while Saul and sleep, taking the spear and water jug from beside Saul's head to prove he had spared the king's life when he could have killed him. Hachilah appears nowhere else in the biblical record.
