Who or what is this?
Zeresh is the wife of the Agagite, the chief minister of the king in the book of . After Haman returns home enraged that the Jew refused to bow before him, Zeresh and his friends advise him to build a gallows fifty cubits high and to ask the king to hang Mordecai on it — counsel Haman is delighted to follow. The plot turns on him, however, when the king honors Mordecai publicly, and Zeresh changes her prediction: she and Haman's wise men warn him that if Mordecai is of Jewish descent, Haman will surely fall before him. Shortly afterward Haman is hanged on the very gallows he had built.
