Jesus calls him down by name and announces he must stay at his house, prompting the crowd to grumble that he has gone in to be the guest of a sinner. Zacchaeus stands and pledges to give half of his goods to the poor and to restore fourfold anything he has defrauded, and Jesus declares that salvation has come to his house and that he too is a son of .
