Who or what is this?
was one of three formidable giants of Anak dwelling in , the other two being and Ahiman. The spies encountered these during the wilderness reconnaissance of and reported them as terrifying. After the conquest, drove them out of Hebron, as recounted in both 15 and Judges 1. The Anakim were widely feared for their great stature and were understood in the biblical narrative as remnants of an ancient race of giants.
