Who or what is this?

Shimea, also known as Shammah and Shimeah, was the third son of of and an elder brother of . He is listed among the sons Jesse presented to during the anointing visit (1 Sam. 16; 1 Chron. 2:13). In the narratives of Saul's court he surfaces as the father of , the young man who killed a giant with an unusual number of fingers and toes (2 Sam. 21:21; 1 Chron. 20:7). His son Jonadab also appears in the tragic story involving and Tamar (2 Sam. 13:3).
