Who or what is this?
Sennacherib was the king of (reigned c. 705–681 BC) whose campaign against is one of the most fully documented events in both the Bible and ancient Near Eastern records. In 2 Kings 18–19, 36–37, and 2 Chronicles 32, he invades Judah during 's reign, captures forty-six fortified cities, and besieges , sending his with a mocking ultimatum. Hezekiah prays before the LORD and the prophet Isaiah delivers an oracle of deliverance; that night an angel strikes 185,000 in the camp and Sennacherib withdraws to , where he is later murdered by his own sons while worshipping in the house of his god .
