(also written Jehoram) was the son of Jehoshaphat who reigned as king of for eight years. He married , daughter of , through whose influence he led Judah into the idolatries of the house of Israel, building high places and causing the people of to go astray. The prophet sent him a written warning of judgment. During his reign Edom revolted and established its independence from Judah, and the Philistines and raided and carried off his sons and wives. He died of a painful bowel disease, unmourned according to 2 Chronicles. He appears in 's genealogy of as a link in the line from .
