Who is this?

Son of a Mary in whose home the church gathers and to which goes after his release from prison. Cousin of , he accompanies Paul and Barnabas on the first missionary journey but turns back at , prompting the later split when refuses to take him again. He is later commended in Colossians and 2 as useful for ministry, and 1 Peter calls him my son Mark. The second Gospel is traditionally ascribed to him.
