Who or what is this?
Jobab was the king of Madon, a city-state in the north of the land. When 's victories in the south alarmed the northern kings, Jobab joined the coalition assembled by Jabin of , which included kings from the hill country, the plains, and the coasts. Joshua attacked the confederate forces at the waters of and routed them; the biblical account records that Joshua took all those kings and smote them (Joshua 11). Madon and its king are not mentioned again after their defeat.
