Who or what is this?

Hophni was one of the two sons of Eli the high priest who ministered at the tabernacle in . Along with his brother , he is condemned in 1 as a "son of Belial" who did not know the Lord. They seized the best portions of sacrificial meat for themselves before the fat had been burned, and they lay with the women who served at the door of the tabernacle. Despite his father's rebukes they would not listen, because the Lord intended to put them to death. A man of God came to Eli with a prophecy of judgment against his house, and in the battle of Aphek both Hophni and Phinehas were killed by the Philistines on the same day that the was captured.
