Prophet whose book is structured as a dialogue with Yahweh about why violence and injustice go unanswered in . When Yahweh responds that he is raising up the Chaldeans, Habakkuk presses the question even harder and is told that the righteous shall live by his faith. He climbs his watchtower, receives a series of woes against the proud aggressor, and closes with a great prayer-psalm of trembling trust that finds joy in Yahweh even when the fig tree does not blossom.
