Enoch is the firstborn son of , born after Cain went out from the LORD's presence to the land of Nod. Cain builds a city and names it Enoch after this son. Through him the Cainite line continues to Irad, Mehujael, Methushael, and . He is a different figure from the Sethite who walked with God.
