Who or what is this?

Cushi is a messenger dispatched by after the battle in which was killed, in 2 18:21–32. Joab sends him to carry news of the victory to King in the city. Ahimaaz son of also ran and outpaced Cushi, arriving first, but gave an ambiguous report. Cushi then arrived and delivered the full account: the enemy had been defeated and Absalom was dead. David's anguished response — "O my son Absalom!" — followed Cushi's report. Nothing else is recorded about this individual.
