Who or what is this?
Job's second friend, a Shuhite, who appeals repeatedly to the wisdom of the ancestors and the standard pattern that God does not pervert justice. His speeches insist that Job's children must have suffered for their own transgression and warn Job that the light of the wicked is put out. Like and he is finally numbered among those whose words about God are judged inadequate and who must rely on Job's intercession.
