Who or what is this?
Beor is the father of the seer, the non-Israelite prophet summoned by king of to curse Israel in Numbers 22–24. He is known only through his son: the references to Balaam in Numbers, 13 and 24, 6, and 2 2 consistently identify him as the son of Beor. He is a different man from the father of Bela, the first king of Edom.
