the Pirathonite was a warrior from Pirathon in Ephraim who served as one of 's thirty mighty men, the elite corps of warriors attached to the king. He is listed in 2 23 and 1 Chronicles 11 among the thirty and held the command of the eleventh monthly division in 1 Chronicles 27, which rotated courses of twenty-four thousand men through royal service. His hometown Pirathon was also the burial place of Abdon the judge (Judges 12). No individual exploits are detailed for him beyond his place in the lists.
