Son of Tabrimmon and grandson of Hezion, king of at , whom hires with silver and gold from and palace treasuries when Baasha of Israel fortifies Ramah. Ben-Hadad breaks his treaty with Baasha, strikes northern Israelite cities including Ijon, Dan, Abel Beth Maacah, Chinneroth, and Naphtali's storage cities, and forces Baasha to abandon the work at Ramah.
