Alexander the coppersmith is an opponent of named in the letters to . In 1 Timothy 1:20 Paul names Hymenaeus and Alexander as men who made shipwreck of the faith, and in 2 Timothy 4:14-15 he warns that 'Alexander the coppersmith did much evil to me.' Whether he is the Alexander of the riot in Acts 19 cannot be established from the text.
