Who or what is this?
Inhabitants of the region of descended in part from the mixed population settled there after conquered the northern kingdom. By ' day, deep hostility separates them from over temple, worship, and identity. Jesus crosses these lines repeatedly — speaking with the woman at the well, telling the parable of the Good Samaritan, and healing a thankful Samaritan leper — and Philip later brings the gospel to Samaria in Acts.
